Where this tool earns its place
Not the right tool for
Face, neck, breast tissue, or directly over bone, varicose veins, open wounds or fresh scar tissue. It has no curve — on a rounded surface only part of the face makes contact and that part takes all the load.
- CelluliteThe pegs work between the dimples, in straight repeated lines.
- Blood circulationBroad, rhythmic contact over a wide face brings colour up fast.
- Thigh and buttockFlat, broad areas where a 160 mm face covers ground quickly.
- Line massageParallel strokes in one direction — the technique this shape is built for.
- Between deeper toolsWarms and reactivates without the depth of a nubbed roller.
- Home maintenanceSimple enough to hand a client with clear instructions.

How to work with it
- 01
Oil the whole area
Every peg is a friction point and they all touch at once. Dry patches show up as marks.
- 02
Palm over the knob
Cup the ball in your palm and press from the shoulder. Gripping it with fingers wastes the design.
- 03
Straight lines, one direction
Parallel strokes toward the nearest nodes. Move across the area line by line, not in circles.
- 04
Keep the face flat
Tilting puts one row of pegs to work and the rest in the air. Full contact or reposition.

Made by hand
We are the workshop, not the middleman
Every KOWÜA tool is turned and finished in our own workshop. We select the timber, cut it, shape it, sand it through progressive grits and finish it by hand. Nothing is bought in and rebranded.
Twenty-eight pegs all have to end at the same height. One standing proud becomes the only point touching skin, and the client feels it immediately. They are levelled against a flat surface before the piece leaves.
Buying direct means you get the price of the factory, custom laser engraving with your clinic's name, and someone who can actually change the tool if you need a different profile.
Care
Cleaning and sanitising
Never
Do not autoclave, do not soak, do not put it in a dishwasher and do not leave it submerged in disinfectant. Wood is porous — immersion swells the fibre, raises the grain and will crack the piece.
- After each clientWipe around the base of every peg. Oil collects where they meet the face.
- Disinfect70% alcohol on the surface, then let it air-dry completely.
- StorePegs up, dry and flat, away from direct heat and sun.
If a peg ever feels rough, a light pass with fine sandpaper following the curve restores it. That is the advantage of an unvarnished finish: it can be renewed, and there is no coating to chip into a client's skin.
Before you order
Questions we get
How do I know it is the right size?
The working face is 160 × 90 mm — about the size of a palm with fingers extended. Total depth including the ball handle is 100 mm, and the 28 pegs stand 15 mm proud.
How is it different from the Mushroom Shaper?
The Mushroom has a small domed head that follows curves. This is flat with a much larger face. Use the Mushroom on a buttock or an outer thigh; use this on the broad planes where you want to cover ground in straight lines.
Can a client use it at home?
Yes, it is one of the easier tools to hand over. Oil, flat contact, straight lines toward the nodes — there is no depth setting to get wrong.
Will the pegs mark the skin?
Not with enough oil and flat contact. Marks come from tilting the face, which loads one row of pegs with all the pressure meant for twenty-eight.
Can I get my clinic's name on it?
Yes, engraved on the back of the face. From 10 pieces. See wholesale tiers and engraving.
Do you ship outside Colombia?
Yes, worldwide with tracking, and shipping is free on orders over $350 with duties included. For orders of 10 pieces or more we quote freight directly.
I am buying for a training academy. Is there a better route?
Yes — academies usually order the same reference in volume, which puts you in a wholesale tier straight away, with engraving included from 30 pieces. Request a quote.
