Technique
How to work with it
- 01
Prepare the skin
Apply enough oil for the barrel to glide without dragging. Dry wood on dry skin bruises, even a smooth one.
- 02
Start low, work up
Hold both handles and begin at the far end of the area, always rolling toward the nearest lymph nodes.
- 03
Read the tissue
This pass is diagnostic as much as preparatory. Where the roller meets resistance is where the deeper tool will go.
- 04
Hand over
Once the area is warm and you know what you are working with, change to a textured roller. This one has done its job.
